Well, an interesting trend has developed. I stumbled upon a way to get to a stripped down search of Yahoo & Live (formerly MSN) , resembling Google in a big way. What’s really freaky is there are no ads at all on these 2 sites. Go to yahoo.com and msn.com and get pelted with ads. Go to Live.com, Search.msn.com, or Live.com and you’ll get no ads. You can also click on images on this page to get to the sites. The big Question of the day – when Yahoo and Microsoft merge, will there name be MicroHoo?
We’ll – something we all love to hate – the escalation prices of we pay at the pump. Isn’t gas like a utility – like PG&E and Water? Why isn’t it regulated the same way? I’m not much of a “pro” regulation person, but this has gotten out of control with Oil Companies making obscene profits and brining down the whole US econonmy. Exxon Profits. Shell Profits.
Until we get someone with a brain larger than a pea in the White house, here’s a cool way to monitor prices for gas! Here’s the California Gas Price Listing. Click on it and you can check your local area – Canada or United States. Or just go to Gas Buddy and start the sad search for prices in your area.
Great way to eeek out another few cents on your gas prices
With cell phone companies charging up to $2/411 call, you owe it to yourself to try Google’s Free Information Service. This is a way cool service for every cell phone user – 800-GooG-411 (or 800-466-4411). Just give name of business and city/state or just type in zip and Google give you the answer. It’s totally free!! You can say “text message” (you’ll get info about business) or “connect me” (you’ll be connected to number) or “map it” (you’ll see a map of the business you’ve requested).
