Well, if you haven’t heard by now, one of the worst computer worms in current history, Conficker, is spreading rapidly throughout the Internet and will deliver its payload on April 1st.
First off, Mac & Linux users can stop reading now (unless you want to help your friends using Windows PCs, Notebooks and Servers).
One Easy Test to see if you’re infected – Go to Symantec and Mcafee websites. If you cannot get to these sites via this blog, you may have the virus, as it blocks you from these sites.

There is a horrible Windows Bug/Virus/Worm out there named Conficker or Downadup. It is a malicious little program spreading quite rapidly through the Internet, infecting millions of computers as you read this. Unfortunately, there’s no “single” solution as of yet. The worst part about this program is that it’s stealing people’s identities and will possibly, in the next day or two, steal lots of identities the same day and/or crash people’s computers.
How can you fix things, right now?

AVG 8 “missing .bin file” – AVG Update Issue

There’s a technical glitch with AVG Anti-Virus free – update today – August 16th. It seems to be affecting all users – worldwide. Read more about it on this forum.
My guess is that Grisoft is working feverishly to fix this problem, as they have millions of users.
Until that time, you have at least 3 choices:
1. Wait at your computer for the update, all night long, for the next update which will fix this problem, most likely on Sunday, 8/17.2. Fix the update …
