1. PriceLine: The best thing to happen to online haggling since E-bay. Seriously, travelers get to negotiate their own price on air-fare. No joke. William Shatner’s kung-fu karate chop endorsement doesn’t hurt either.
2.SouthWest: OK, so sometimes you really can get a great deal on an airline’s website. No really, you can. And since you know you’re going to be getting on a Southwest jet, you know you’re getting Southwest’s service–which is famous in the industry (hence, the reality show that aired on A&E a few years ago).
3. YELP!: If you …

Austin(Goodbye for now)
It was about 10 am, Faune was in the other room reading a book and she heard the famous battle cry “No, Come Back!” Yes, it had happened. Both Chauncey and Murphy (the 2 cute dogs to the left – Chauncey the black lab and Murphy, the pug/chihuahua mix) escaped my watchful eye. Waco
with Faune
On our way back to Austin, we made a couple of stops. Thanks to Andi, our GPS and a small billboard I noticed, we found the Dr. Pepper Museum. Due to losing the bet, I thought we wouldn’t have to pay admission, I paid for admission and the headphones/tape deck of the tour. Why you ask did we even go here? In my favorite Vegetarian Dining Guide, there are 13 vegetarian restaurants listed for Austin, only 3 for Dallas. This should have been our first clue.
For the next couple of nights, …

Veggie Heaven

Austinwith Faune, Mike, Deb and Gregory
Faune, my girlfriend, and I began our journey on Southwest flying the friendly skys (can I say that – with no decent food on planes, being strip searched, no leg room?) last Saturday via San Jose to Austin. We rented a PT Cruiser (Travel edition) from Enterprise, our favorite rental car company. Besides the car, we enjoyed the experience of working with Enterprise. Love ‘em!
We arrived for some fun and chatting at Mike and Debbie’s house in Volente, Texas (a suburb of Austin). Sadly, …
