I’m completely blown away by Nokia’s N97 Phone. This is Nokia’s answer to the gPhone and iPhone. I’m sure it will be referred to as the nPhone. If not, I said it here first! It addresses my biggest 2 disappointements with iPhone – it has 5 mp camera w/video and 2 flashes and has a REAL keyboard. I’m just not into virtual keyboards.
Many more photos from the Scobleizer of the N97!
Comparison of the Nokia N97 with iPhone:
1. It shoots 16:9 video. The iPhone doesn’t even do video. So, how …

Mobile Crunch has done an excellent job of detailing the top iPhone Apps of 2008. It’s incredible how many appts are just in the top 10 categories!! Rumor has it there are close to 10,000 apps. My overall favorites are Facebook and Pandora Radio (make your own radio stations – on the web as well!).

I’ve tried many – and generally don’t find many surprises. Since the iPhone is primarily a small computer, these trends seem to mimic what’s popular on PCs. Can’t wait to see the Gphone list!

Make sure …

With our battered economy, we want to get the best price for every thing we buy. It’s deals, deals, deals! A week from tomorrow is “Black Friday,” where there will be tremendous shopping deals, as it’s the beginning of the holiday season. I will be covering this in more detail in future blog posts.
Did you know there are “Deals of the Day” every day with Woot and Price Grabber? There is usually one item (or set of items) which have a great price for only 24 hours.
An example today on …

So, I’ve posted my latest ezine. Some good stuff, if I do say so myself

In this issue, we delve into mobile internet stuff, watching movies and the battle of two ultra-light notebooks. The biggest news of all – quite possibly the “iPod killer” everyone keeps talking about – is the G1 or as I affectionately call it – the GooglePhone It’s really an HTC phone with Google’s new operating system, Android on the phone. I’m sure by the end of the year there will be lots of Android-powered …

Google Phone – Android
9/27/2008 UpdateT-mobile Live Event Transcription – phone has been officially announced and will be ready for sale on 10/22/2008. The phone is dubbed the “G1.”
There really isn’t a “Google Phone,” per se, but it sounds better saying Gphone or Google Phone, than Android.
Android is a new operation system (platform) developed by Google that can be adopted by all the cell phone manufacturers. T-mobile is the first. It joins Palm, Windows, iPhone and Symbian operating systems among many others. I hoping Verizon adds it next!
When the T-mobile phone …

Watch Netflix movies on your TV

A simple little, $99 box, Netflix player made by Roku, was released for purchase about 4 months ago. I wrote Netflix
for a test unit and got one a few days later. Within 2 days, I was up and running watching my “streaming” queue from
Netflix on my TV in about 5 minutes. All you do is hook up the box to your receiver/TV, plug it in, and plug in either an
ethernet cable or enter wireless settings for your wireless network. …

Send a Text Message – Anywhere in the World
So, I’ve been testing this super cool program with a weird name WataCrackaz Auto SMS for about a month now and I really like it. It lets you send a text message to any carrier anywhere in the world. There are multiple layers to this awesome service. The first is that you can go to the website and just send a text message. The second layer is that you can add all your friends/colleagues and their mobile numbers (you need to know …

I’m gonna sell my life – all of it
Okay, it’s not really me. It’s this funky guy in Australia. I’ve heard of “letting go” of possessions and thoughts, but these folks take it to the extreme.
They claim, if these are indeed for real, that they’re going to sell all their possessions – their homes, their clothes, their pets, (their kids&spouses?), their furniture to the highest bidder. Once price is paid, they’ll walk out with wallet and passport. It’s amazing what the Internet has brought us. Directly from Australia eBay! I …

Speak It – It’s Magic – Text It/Email It

Don’t you hate it when you’re driving or in line for the groceries/movies and you just don’t have the time to jot a note which you’ll later want to recall? Well, this is one thing you can cross off your list, as both of these services convert your spoken text to text messages/emails. They have a lot in common – they’re both free, they both allow you to add “friends” (so you can verbally send text messages/emails to folks), you can set …
