Enjoy the Dawning of a new Fall! It’s wonderful to see all of you through my writing. I’ve taken a definitely less techie tone this time around and have lots of stuff for mental and physical exercise! You know what they say, “Fake it until you make it (happen)!”

Chocolate

Just for fun, I thought I’d do some searching on one of my favorite foods. For those of you who are lactose intolerant (you can’t eat dairy) or are Vegan (a vegetarian who doesn’t eat dairy or eggs or wear leather), most dark chocolates are dairy free – just check the label. Now go out there and find some Chocolate!

Entertainment – Just for Fun

Simpsons vs. Flintstones Debate – Settled

Some friends of mine were trying to figure out which show had run longer, the Flintstones or the Simpsons. Flintstones ran for 6 seasons (166 episodes). The Simpsons are beginning their 14th season (tons of episodes!). The Flintstones premiered on September 30, 1960 on ABC, and ran for six seasons (166 episodes) on Fridays at 8:30 p.m. The final episode aired on April 1, 1966, with reruns lasting until September 2.Now you know!

A couple of weeks ago, I went to the Eastern Sierras, soaking for 3 days in warm water with 4 wonderful people. The beauty of the 8 hot springs we went to was that they are in a natural setting, there are no rules & regulation and they’re all FREE. It was one of the best vacations of my short life. This is the definitive guide on where to go.

Lazano's Steals Stuff

http://www.miami.com/mld/mercurynews/news/local/3770302.htm

Sadly, for 2 months in a row, I have had all my change and dollars stolen from Lazano’s car wash in Mt. View, California. I know what you’re saying “Duh, take all your change out when you give the people the car.” Well, I've been taking my car here for about 5 years and nothing has ever been taken. This has given me a dimmer view of the population at large and sadness in my heart that people, getting paid to do a job, feel they must steal to get a bit more. I include coupons to use the car wash to show that I still have faith that if enough people keep going to the car wash, maybe the owner's will pay more and the workers will feel less compelled to steal. So  be careful  wherever you take your car to be washed, as this could happen to you!

The Mac Is Back

Have you made the switch yet? Do you believe any of these aren't actors? Are Windows machines really that bad, difficult to use, and cumbersome? Hmmm, although approximately 95% of computer users (as of April 2002) use Windows machines, the Apple gives an vibrant alternative. I’m super impressed with iMovie and iPhoto. These blow any PC-based programs for making movies and managing photos I've seen. These applications come standard on all Macs!

QuickBooks Pro 5.0 for Mac

http://www.quickbooks.com/products/mac/index.html

I've consistently said, once they make QuickBooks and Act (or another superb contact management/database program) for the Mac, business would start accepting the Macs again. In early 2003, QuickBooks will once again be written for the Mac OS X. This will remove a HUGE obstacle in business adopting the Mac platform. When will the next shoe drop? Only Steve knows ;-)
